Let me start by telling you who I am...
I’m nobody.
I’m not a theologian, a doctor, lawyer, teacher, or journalist. My work and life experience is more varied than anyone would imagine or believe. Though I have several degrees, I'm not with anyone would consider an expert in any particular thing. I have worked in the fields of medicine, law, and education, as well as many others.
Though I am a nobody, I'm somebody special – because I'm a child of God.
Looking back, I truly believe that the Lord was calling me to Him for as long as I can remember, and was with me even when I wasn't following Him. It took years of doubting and exploration into almost everything considered "spiritual" or "religious," before I made the decision to follow Jesus in 2010, and I've been studying the word of God ever since.
I decided to write this Substack because of what I see happening around me. The things occurring in the world seem to point directly to the word of God, and the Bible becomes more clear by the day, especially Bible prophecy. At the same time, I see so much division in the Church, so much misunderstanding—often of simple concepts— and so many false teachers. I see extreme apostasy in individual believers and in whole churches.
My intention with this Substack it to write about foundational issues of the Christian faith, and by that I mean, Biblical Christianity, the church Jesus established, not man. At times, I will also address things occurring in the world, various topics which may be controversial, though my primary focus, even then, will be on how it relates to the Bible, and particularly to Bible prophecy. I will discuss topics and concepts in the Bible that I see people either struggling with, or arguing about, on social media and elsewhere.
I have a biblical worldview—just putting that out there so you know my perspective on the issues of the day, and you know what to expect. I hope to relay my point of view with honesty, grace, and love. I'll do my best to discuss biblical concepts with accuracy and clarity.
More than ever, there seems to be so much confusion regarding the word of God. I hope that I'm able to help even one person understand, at least some of it, just a little bit better.
