We interrupt the regularly scheduled post...
This must be said, and spread.
Israel is accused of having too much land and not sharing enough of it. They are accused of occupying land that doesn’t belong to them as well. I’m skipping a whole lot here, like when and how it was given to them, both originally and when they returned. and I’m skipping the behind the scenes interference and fake conspiracies that have been purposely started, by other nations, (one nation in particular more than any other), to cause people to come against Israel which they have done for multiple self-serving reasons.
Let’s start with this.
Israel has NEVER even had all of the land promised/given to her millennia ago, ever. They didn’t take all they were given. That was a mistake. Fast forward past invasions and captivities, and finally being dispersed throughout the world. No nation wanted the Jewish people there, not for long. They wanted them to leave, they WANTED them to have their own nation state, so eventually they went back to their homeland, and over time reestablished their own nation once again.
This is a good place to point out a fact which has been so distorted it has taken on a meaning which was never factual:
Zion is an age-old name for Jerusalem and the land of Israel. Zionism is the national liberation movement of the Jewish people who sought to restore their freedom and independence in their ancestral homeland.
God refers to Zion and the word is used throughout the Bible and Torah many times. It is used interchangeably in places within them to refer to either Israel or Jerusalem.
The name of Israel had been changed by a Roman Emperor, intentionally to wipe away the name from memory, but God had other plans.
On May 14, 1948, Israel was reestablished as a modern state and recognized by the community of nations. It lived up to the Zionist dream. Israel began with a Jewish majority that had purchased and settled the land and accorded full civil, political and cultural rights to all its minorities, including Arabs, Muslims and Christians.
A little history on the name of Palestine:
From the first century when Rome renamed the Jewish state “Palestine” until the mid-20th century, “Palestine” was associated with Jews and the Jewish homeland.
Jews in the area used the name Palestine for their symphonies, newspapers and other enterprises. There was the Palestine Post (later the Jerusalem Post), the Palestine Symphony Orchestra, the Palestine Electric Company, the Palestine Potash Company and others.
Arabs and Jews who lived in the Palestine Mandate all had Palestine Mandate passports, but Arab residents were generally referred to as Arabs, not Palestinians.
“Palestine is a term the Zionists invented!...Our country for centuries was part of Syria.”
—Local Arab leader Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi, to the Peel Commission in 1937.Before and after World War II, anti-Semites in Europe and the U.S. told Jews to get out and “go back home to Palestine.”
After 1948 when the reborn Jewish State took the name Israel, the term “Palestine” went out of usage to refer to Israel.
In 1964, the term was revived when Egypt helped organize the PLO, the Palestine Liberation Organization. By the 1970s, the term came to be associated with Arabs, not Jews.

The modern nation of Israel has been attacked by her neighbors repeatedly since her reestablishment in 1948. She has tried appeasement, she has tried treaties, most often brokered by other third=party nations, and never favoring Israel. She has been diminished in size as part of many of these agreements. Yet she is still always attacked again, without provocation. Nothing she has ever given up has ever been enough for her enemies. When Israel has been attacked, and drawn into wars, she has always come out the victor.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121:4
When you are attacked by those you tried to bargain with for peace, and to whom you gave up land for peace, then the spoils of that war, including the land that was originally yours, is once again yours to be made part of your nation and for its use and the use of her people. That’s how it works, how it has always worked for every other nation, every empire, that ever was. The victor takes the spoils. Considering how small Israel is to begin with, you would think this is no big deal. But when it is Israel that does something that is normal for others, it’s always a big deal. Some say, Israel can take the land, but not use it. They shouldn’t allow their citizens to live in those areas that were won back in wars they didn’t even start. Unless it is used only as a security barrier and nothing more.
How does it make sense that recaptured territory should be left bare except for security? All recaptured land around Israel should be of no use except as protection from invasion? They already have to have security on all existing borders, so how is that different? They get more land but can’t use it except for an additional barrier against people who will attack them no matter how much, or how little, they have?
Those who surround them don’t want them to have ANY land, no nation of their own, no existence anywhere in the world. Until people realize the reality of the situation they shouldn’t talk about what Israel should or shouldn’t do.
What other people do you know that were told to leave other countries and return to their homeland, and after they had their homeland back and many returned there, were told you don’t belong here, it’s not really your land? What other people do you know of that spend their entire existence on the alert, with a bomb shelter in every neighborhood, always ready to drop everything and run into the shelter for a period of time unknown to them when it happens, not knowing what they’ll find when they emerge, often hoping that the teachers at their children’s schools got their children into the school shelter in time and that they’re safe.
I imagine this is a difficult existence, yetit is the norm for them; it is part of their daily lives. Despite this, they were still trying to reach out a hand of friendship and peace to their sworn enemies in Gaza for a long enough period of time for those enemies to gather intel to be used to viciously attack them with more evil and hatred in their hearts than I could ever have imagined a human could exhibit.
I was naive to the level of hatred they could exhibit; so was Israel. Hopefully, they now know that this evil, this hatred of their very existence, can not be removed from the hearts and minds of their enemies by treaty, by giving them land, utilities, medical aid, jobs, friendship, money, or any other thing that Israel has tried.
What some people fail to understand is when your enemy wants you dead, period, that’s their only true goal, the ONLY option you have is to eliminate the threat. If you can remove it from your borders by securing them, great, but it isn’t enough when they keep coming, however they can. When you can remove their weaponry, their launching capabilities, that’s great too, but it still isn’t enough.
Israel has no choice but to fight back hard enough to at least try to remove the openly terroristic factions of the enemy, retake the areas they were working from to attack consistently, and show them enough strength and determination to counter their own and push them back enough to stop them, at least for a period of time.
Unfortunately, Israel is never going to have long-lasting peace because their enemies will always regroup, reload, and come back to attack them another day. They will never be left to live in peace, which is all they want to do. They will never NOT need secure borders and bomb shelters in every neighborhood, no matter how much they try to give up to gain peace.
God did not want them to divide the land. They never should have tried to do so to appease the enemy. They should be following God, turning to Him for the protection that only He can provide. Negotiating with men that hate you, or those trying to help (or pretending to), who don’t understand the reality of the situation, will never bring peace. The enemy will never stop coming. The nations of the world need to think long and hard about where they stand.
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Genesis 12:3
This enemy doesn’t just want death to Israel, they want death to America, and to anyone that doesn’t follow what they believe. They want control of the world. They will never stop trying and they are capable of horrors most people wouldn’t imagine in their worst nightmares. They are controlled and led by pure evil. The world needs to wake up to this fact, and NOW. If we don’t recognize the enemy for who they are and what they are capable of, we are all doomed.
Until the day that God puts an end to it. Thankfully, I believe that day is not far off. I hope and pray that day is not far off.
God bless and keep Israel. Help them to defeat their enemies. God help us all.
*I originally wrote this, in a slightly shorter form, as a comment on another substack post. It was suggested I include it as a post on my stack. As I was typing that original comment, my phone was alerting me to rockets directed at Israel, yet again. 😢
That was before the IDF hit Beirut and took out Hezbollah’s most senior military commander. (responsible for the recent deaths of the Druze children in Israel as well as many people over the course of many years, including the 1983 US Marine Corp barracks bombing that killed 241 people. It was also before someone, took out the leader of Hamas in Tehran. Israel? US? We will know at some point.
I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them; neither did I turn again till they were consumed. Psalm 18:37
**Other than the Biblical quotes, (the ones here are KJV-not my norm), the remaining quotes used within the post are from the site linked above, standwithus.com but from an older publication titled “Israel 101” which no longer seems to be available on their website. There are many others, they have updated since I saved that one several years ago, but it’s a great resource I still use often. I recommend anyone truly seeking the truth about everything to visit the page and read, download, and share the information.
Finally, your reminder: It has been 299 days since hostages were kidnapped to Gaza from Israel. One of them a baby who, if he is still alive, passed his first birthday in captivity. No one should rest until he is returned home with his kidnapped family and all of the hostages. PLEASE pray for the hostages and pray for Israel.

Wonderful stack🙏❤️🙏
